870 Check Block
The 870 Check Block is a piece of microwave absorbing foam that has been placed in a plastic housing with magnets, so that it can be attached to the Active Antenna to test if the instrument is reading microwaves accurately. Each block has different moisture contents, so the foam is measured initially by the user and that value is recorded. Then, if they ever believe that the unit is not measuring accurately, they can place the check block in front of the Active Antenna and compare results.
Specifications
This block has layers of foam that have been impregnated with compounds to form a material which has the required dielectric properties to absorb microwave signals, in a similar way to water molecules, which are also a high dielectric compound.
